Stronghold buildings have special effects on your alliance. Each of them have a few skills that could be upgraded.
To access those skills, you need to go to the buildings via the Stronghold List in the Embassy building.
Once you have enter, just click on the Skills tab to get unformation or to speed the upgrade.
