Nowadays, the school canteen of the new management is not serving us well. The earliest breakfast is at 7:45 a.m. This is late already since some of the teachers will have their first class at 7:15 in the morning. There's not much breakfast food to choose from. What we eat everyday are fried kueyteow/ rice/ noodles- every single day! Sometimes they are actually good, but most of the time they are tasteless. They used to serve some kuih but just in the first few weeks of service and a few times in the first semester. It's worsen by day. It is an endless list of what's bad and it's of no point to state them all here.
My point here is this- the worst thing about this canteen is food is not even enough for students. Most of the evening session students will have nothing to eat during their recess at 4:00pm. Most! Even in the morning session, students were already pushing one another to buy food as soon as recess starts and ended up eating nothing. It's either because there was no more food or because they are bored with the same food served everyday. Their solution is brilliant- just step into the teacher's dining area and get food from there. What I dislike about this idea is their impoliteness. The teachers' dining area is like a mamak stall where they can make noise and push around while buying their food. They even forget that the buffet area is so close to the dining table that sometimes they even pushed the teacher as well.
I just yelled at them the other day because of this impoliteness. Somebody has to say something!
